Kofi Anan to be Thrown Out of United Nations in December

Looks like many folks have had enough of Kofi Anan and they are throwing him out of the United Nations in December. You will recall the many scandals that Kofi Anan was involved in including the devastating Oil For Foods Scandal in Iraq and the media hit later that took place against the United States prior to and after the start of the Iraq War, which smeared the US in the World Media. Only later did we find out why; it was all about the money and Oil For Food Scandal.

Why are they throwing Kofi Anan out on his ears? Well his second term as Secretary is up now. Some are wondering who will replace him and others are saying anyone would be fine. Will Kofi Anan leave a leadership vacuum? Hard to say, as he seemed to get along with many of the emerging nation dictators and questionable characters, he knew how to talk with them they say. Which really makes a lot of sense really.

We might see a Chinese Person in his position during this next go around and that person could be named as soon as late Oct or early November. Who ever is involved it would be nice to pick up the rest of the nations who are not involved in the UN as there are quite a few who are not represented out of the 192 recognized nations.

It will be interesting to see if human rights are looked at more favorably over two-bit dictators in the future. Time will tell, can the UN pull itself out of the scandals and corruption, as many people now ask? Consider all this in 2006.
